The Best way to exercise the heart is to bend down and help another up.

The Promise may change from year but it will always be a project to encourage children to act from the heart. The theme of this year’s project, The Poster is created from an art contest, and the subject is Celebrating Kindness. We want to teach children to concentrate on our similarities rather than our differences. When we reach out and do something kind for another we get a feeling of wellbeing within our own soul. It empowers us and that simply means it makes us feel good about who we are. Day to day, as we continue to spread kindness, we change the world around us. It is the greatest single gift we can give to ourselves. It returns to us in multiples as we give it away. We feel warm and wonderful and worthwhile. Our lives would be so much richer, if anyone who came in contact with us, left feeling better. It is not a great sacrifice to give away a piece of your heart to all those that need a helping hand. Somewhere along the way the world has lost its moral compass. The powerfulness gained from spreading kindness, will heal the wounded heart of the world.
